Welcome to the LIET Forums! We’re excited to have you here. This guide will help you get started with using our forums effectively. Whether you’re new to online communities or just need a refresher, you’ll find all the basics here.

1. Register and Set Up Your Profile

  • Register: If you haven’t already, sign up for an account by clicking on the Register link at the top of the page.
  • Profile Setup: Once registered, head to your Profile and fill in your details. Add a profile picture, write a bio, and let the community know a bit about you.

2. Explore the Forums

  • Main Categories: Browse through the main categories like Coding Help, Tech News, Project Showcases, and more.
  • Subforums: Each category has subforums for more specific topics. Click on a category to see what’s inside.
  • Search Function: Use the search bar at the top of the page to find specific topics or posts.

3. Participate in Discussions

  • Read and Reply: Click on a thread to read the discussion. To reply, scroll to the bottom and type your message in the reply box.
  • Start a New Thread: Have something new to discuss? Click the New Thread button in the appropriate subforum, give your thread a title, and start typing.
  • Like and Share: If you find a post helpful or interesting, click the like button or share it with others.

4. Stay Updated

  • Follow Threads: Click the follow button on threads you’re interested in to get notifications about new replies.
  • Check Notifications: Keep an eye on your notifications for updates on threads you follow or mentions from other users.
  • Forum News: Visit the Forum News section for the latest updates and announcements from the LIET Team.

5. Community Guidelines

  • Be Respectful: Treat everyone with respect. No harassment, discrimination, or abusive language.
  • Stay On Topic: Keep discussions relevant to the thread topic.
  • Report Issues: If you see inappropriate behavior, report it to the moderators.
  • Follow the Rules: Read our full Community Guidelines for detailed rules and expectations.
